5. In NSW Australia they used to have a minister named Richard Face
Leaving aside the problems with abbreviating his first name and attaching it to his second name, he also used to have problems leaving parliamentary question time because the Opposition would always interject "the government's losing Face!"

I worked for a market research call center for a while, there was an 'unofficial' name of the day contest...some notables included;

Harry Woodcock
Peter Enright <---My personal fave:D
Dick Sparks (bet he's fun in the dark! :P)
Anita Coughin
Harry Baughs
Iona Virgin
And the all time best: Harry Bunghole. Swear to jeebus. Apparently it was a company in Montreal we were calling and it was pronounced "Bun-jho-lay". :D

15. Poor Misty...
I mean, being named "Misty" is unfair enough, but her original last name was Davison. But her mom remarried a guy from Samoa, who legally adopted Misty, so that's how she became "Misty Pynappels".

This is what is meant by 'destiny'. Choose the most likely announcement:

1) "...and the Nobel Prize for Chemistry goes to Doctor Misty Pynappels..."

or

2) "...a-a-a-lright, gentlemen, it's time to put those hairy palms together and welcome to the centre stage, three-time winner of the Miss Nude Oswego cometition, Miss Misty Pynappels!"

12. In the 1930's, King George VI visited Canada
With the Queen (later Queen Mum). They took a train tour right across the country; it was a very big event. When they reached Winnipeg, they visited City Hall with the Prime Minister, Mackenzie King, and the mayor of Winnipeg, John Queen. You can easily imagine what went on:

Who is in Ukraine on a Fullbright right now once had a Student named Fonda Dicks when he was teaching at the Univerity of Iowa. She was an extremeley talented basketball player. The radio people would have so much fun with her name by saying stuff like "Fonda Dicks had twenty big ones last night" when reporting the High School hoops results.

IIRC, Didn't Norman Lear name one of his daughters Chanda so her name would turn out to be Chanda Lear?

When my borther was going to UW-Stevens Point in the mid 80s, there was a prof there called Dick Faze.
