I'm begining to hate running into people I have'nt seen for a while

I just ran into a guy I have'nt seen in probably twenty years, so in the catching up I get to add two more people to my deadlist. It's no fucking wonder I don't see anyone they're all fucking dead.
Christ, sometimes I feel like a big damn bullseye is on me, I was just wondering about one of those people last week.

1. news flash: it happens to everyone

sooner or later everyone dies. coping with others' deaths is an inevitable part of living a full life. soon enough it'll be your turn or my turn to be the one that others mourn or maybe just remark upon... every day of our lives, it's like we're dodging bullets --- and eventually our luck runs out. yeah the bulls-eye is on you and on each and every one of us.

so let's savor every day of precious life.

2. Reminds me of a bit o' wisdom one of my brothers shared...

...while we got lit and reminisced the last time we all returned to the "nest" for a family funeral.
"We have to come up with a better excuse for reunions" he said, "cuz next time it's probably gonna be one of us is in the box."
His point, though obvious, had been ignored until then. Now we do get together more often.
