Poll question: Is your belly button an "innie" or an "outie"???
Edited on Tue Mar-09-04 05:00 PM by POed_Ex_Repub
And while we're on the subject, do cats have belly buttons? Mine squirms too much for me to find out. Also, do you think this will be the next great wedge issue? (the innites versus the outites)... maybe it'll need it's own section like GD2004.. hmm....

2. I've heard that outies aren't healthy.
I've read that the reason someone has an outie is because the doctor didn't cut the umbilical cord properly when the person was born. I've also heard they get infected easily.

5. I'm an outie
Doesn't ever hurt and never has been affected. I do think it's true that they occur when they're not properly cut. When I was born I came out feet first and was 6 weeks premature. Wasn't breathing when I came out so I think they had to cut the cord pretty fast. Maybe that's why it happened.

3. A BIG outtie! It popped out when I was a few months old.
It's called an "umbilical hernia."

It's quite hideous actually. And very sensitive. I don't like anyone to touch it.

4. I am an outtie
In the past lovers have been fascinated with it and poked it like it was a button. It didn't hurt at first, but alas, I think they broke something.
