My fellow Michiganders, has anyone ever had problems with Art Van? My mom bought some furniture around Christmas that had an electric reclining mechanism. Well, it's about four months later and the motor has shorted out. We called the store and had to wait a week for someone to come out. After a few minutes, all the guy did was confirm that the problem was, indeed, what we told Art Van it was and said he would have to order the part.
Someone called a few hours later and the lady said it would take 2-6 weeks to get the part. The chair is stuck with the leg rest in the up position so the seat can't be used and it's sticking out into the living room taking up space. We want to return the furniture but the lady told me it can't since it's been in our home for more than 30 days. I was so pissed that I just hung up on her.
I wanted to see if anyone else had issues with this store. I know I, nor my parents, will never shop there again.
