it accured to me today that i might be a bit of a bitch
 i really just tend to not like the people i'm around(other than my family), though i think that has more to do with where i am.. the middle of nowhere. i don't even like my friends here.. they get on my nerves with their petty small town gossip and immature and just insanely stupid concerns. i don't even attempt to have meaningful discussions with them.. and the closer i get to moving away in august the more i seem to be ignoring their phone calls.

i'm just not made for the whole small town thing. driving down the road a random person will wave at me and i think "wtf? why are they waving at me?" rather than "oh how nice, a waving stranger." someone will ask me "how are you today?" and i'll think "the same as yesterday moron"... i don't act on these thoughts and play along with a forced smile and a "i'm good, thank you" but i think i may be a bit of a bitch

because truly , everything is superficial .

Irritation is a nonacceptance , the most childish reaction of all.

2. That is what I appreciate about small town living.
Random people waving and saying hello. Of course, my town isn't really all that small. But, you are getting out soon!!! You will have a ball.

4. i think it's just a personality thing
i love people.. i'm very very social.. but what people around here consider being "social" and a good topic of conversation isn't what i'd prefer to talk about or spend my time doing. there are certain things i like about a small town, other things i hate. i definitely thing that my personality is more suited for a city.

complex things than your peer group for years, at least from what you tell us and what you've accomplished. It's hard sometimes to have more vision and different goals that your peers.

I suspect that after you live in NYC for a while, you might have a different perspective on your home town. :)

I appreciate my small town far more now than I did when I was desperate to escape it.

My biggest annoyance is small talk. I'm tired of hearing what the weather is like fifty times a day. I know what it's like outside because I was out there! Gah!

Oh, another annoyance is when someone asks me "working hard or hardly working?". :banghead:

Give it a few years.

When you hit 35, if you still want to be a bitch, then go for it.
But it's a sad and lonely life.
IMHO
