Just a quick update, this is all I know.

She is no longer in a coma, but is still paralyzed on the left side. They are trying to determine if the paralysis is a result of the stroke or if it is a spinal injury from when she collapsed and fell off the platform she was dancing on. :scared:

She cannot speak, but they have removed her feeding tube. They will be meeting with a speech pathologist.

And, amusingly enough, I don't know what the doc did to deserve it, but she flipped him off  so at least I know her spunk is there.

There was a thank you for good vibes post on her Facebook, assuming her sis posted it, but please, keep sending her good thoughts. She has a very long road ahead.

TIA

and her recovery is brutal . I wish your friend the best.

Your friends daughter is obviously younger than sis (she is 62) and her recovery can be faster.

sorry to sound like a downer, but my sister was so vivacious and smart and now all she has time or energy for is her recovery

Horrifying.

My best to her and her family. Prayers, vibes, good thoughts continue, my friend.

14. Her mom just told me they don't expect her to show progress for a year!
She'll be in an intensive 3 month program in Buffalo. She is not well enough for them to bring her to Albany before that
