Is my wife freaking nuts for wanting me to reuse zip-lock baggies she puts my snacks in?

She bugs me to reuse baggies, BAGGIES!!!! Anything that a sandwich went in is a non-starter, but she wants me to reuse baggies that she send my snacks in, like pound cake (home made heaven) cookies and such. What the hell!?! How much could a baggie cost?!?! Isn't this a food poisoning risk?

What is next? Erasing paper plates!?!? Should I have her committed?

I reuse my baggies all the time. I usually eat the same thing everyday and use baggies to bring my crackers and almonds in to work for lunch (and btw I put them in the same bag too.) I'll take that bag home each night and reuse it a few more times before I toss it.

Provided I don't have something gross & messy in it, I'll reuse my baggies. Of course if it is gross & messy I have little tupperware-style containers that I can just wash out when finished.

Recylce and reuse. Depending on the baggie type they are dishwasher safe or they can easily washed by hand.

I normally will throw away the ones that have had raw meat in them, however. But other than that, I will reuse a bag.

16. Another tip: Reuse bags and linings from e.g. bread, crackers, cereal, etc.

If you're not going to recycle them, put them to use in your kids' lunches, wrapping leftovers, etc.

shouldn't be using them in the first place; and if you do use them, then yes, by God, you should re-use them until they can't be used any more.

Shouldn't be using paper plates, either.
