How do I copy my favorites from one computer to the other?

I have roughly 200 favorites that I need for work and I've been emailing them to myself since I got the new computer.

I'm running I/E (shut up, you)

Any ideas?

Just kidding. In your preferences folder (at least on a Mac) there is a file called bookmarks. html or favorites.html. you just email it to yourself and put in the same spot on your second computer or copy it to a flash drive and do the same thing.

6. Throw the file on a flash drive or burn it to a cd/dvd..

Then just put it into your second computer and drag it into the appropriate folder

When you put it into the folder it may warn you that a file with the same name is already in there and do you want to replace it. If you don't care about the favorites already there hit okay, replace.

2. Are you moving them from I/E to I/E?

Use the Import/Export function under the File heading

3. Click on favorites. Drop the list.

Place monitor on copier. Press copy.

Easy peasy.

Just fold it up and stick it in one of the slots on the big shiny computer box.

11. windows:

back up on external hardrive. you will have your favorites and desktop settings somewhere in the C:/ in My Documents most likely.

back it up, then plug your external into the new comp, and drag and click over to C:/ in My Documents.

you'll see the favorites star, but i would recommend draggin all personal settings that you wish to keep over to it.

13. in the browser, go to File | Import and Export | Export Favorites

it will create a file called bookmark.htm, copy that to your new PC, the do the same steps but select import.
