I always love it when a kitten jumps on my leg and is all, "Ha! Got you!".

14. I voted for 9 but this was a hard poll. I was torn between 1, 8 and 9. It is

the intensity and tenor of the eye contact in some of these beautiful photographs that kept tugging me from one decision to the other.

Thank you. Eye contact is something I think about when shooting. It doesn't happen very often - the cats don't like the flash, and frequently (as you see in no. four) the flash is reflected back. But when that eye contact comes through in the photo, it's magic.
