Poll question: What should be my next Internet alter ego?

I went to the Whole Foods in Charleston to get, among other things, their gluten-free pecan pie. The woman at the checkout beamed while ringing it up, mentioning that she, too, is celiac and how much she loves that pie. This is the kind of thing that happens every day, of course, but it really affected me. I meet so few fellow members of my tribe, and I really felt a rare sense of belonging. So I have to go join the celiac/gluten-free groups, not least to find out where the local support group here in Columbia meets. (They are doing a pretty good job of hiding; I know they're out there, though, because the other celiac I met told me about the meetings. If I'd been sufficiently interested then I could have found out where and when they meet and wouldn't be having this problem, darn it.)

I have remarked before about having a certain buyer's remorse about this screenname, because much as I love the monkey (Amelia the cat) and her bossiness, the initials are somewhat unfortunate. I'm rather taken with the first choice below, though it might strike people seeing it for the first time as belonging to an insane person. Still, I figure that most people would work out pretty quickly that I'm again named for my cat. Footloose & Gluten Free is the name of my so-far-imaginary gluten-free store. Though there may never be an actual bricks-and-mortar version, I expect some kind of online presence may be in my future. The other choices on the poll are meant to be funny, but feel free to vote for them (assuming this gets any traction).

but it took me a minute to figure it out, and probably other people would have the same problem. Also, I ate the stuff for 45 years; for all I know, my ass is chock-full of gluten!:P

The other thing I went to Charleston for (besides leaving roses on my mom's grave as an early Mother's Day gesture) was gluten-free ice cream sandwiches, said to be on sale at the farmers' market. I had gone to the same market (a pretty upscale, once a week, downtown farmers' market) last fall and talked to the lady from the gluten-free bakery, but she said they only had those when the weather is warm. This time around, the g-f bakery had flown the coop. Googling produces no joy. So if you've ever heard of anybody producing gluten-free ice cream sandwiches (and who can somehow ship them), I would be boundlessly grateful. It's turning into a crusade; I never even liked ice cream sandwiches all that much, but it galls me somehow that every frickin' store in America has g-f waffles (who eats waffles?) and nobody makes g-f ice cream sandwiches.

As to the "store," I'll probably sign up as an affiliate or whatever it's called with Amazon, then start a blog where I will rhapsodize about various g-f items that I've tried and love a lot, with links to them on Amazon. I can't imagine it producing any money, but it ought to be fun, and should stop me spamming the Lounge with quinoa threads.:)

would your first thought be, "Jeez, what am I gonna do for waffles?" My first thoughts were of pasta and pizza, as were my next several thousand thoughts. Meanwhile, Quinoa Waffles would be a kick-ass band name.:P
