I don't mind the birds eating from the bird feeder, but why can't they use fork and knife?

They just shove their mouths into the food, like some of my farm-raised cousins, eschewing any sense of propriety or decorousness, to say nothing of a complete lack of table manners.

Is it my fault for not setting them a table, or are they just genetically predisposed, like NASCAR fans or guys who have a separate formal belt buckle with their name on it to wear to their girlfriend's weddings, to eating this way?

If I'm in the wrong, I want to know about it, so I can apologize to them.
