2. It's not a "horrible" film at all.....it's a horrible vision though

It's a distopian view of the future where big business (mining) controls politics and has the power of life or death over people.

It's all quite intelligent, with Arnie's character struggling to understand what is real and what is illusion, then rejecting his previous paramilitary corporate alignment in favour of rebellion and freedom for all....if only he'd do that in real life!

If you ask me (which you didn't), Total Recall isn't a bad portrayal of how the world under Bush is turning......

I enjoyed the movie, and the Phillip Dick story that inspired it
