that it's not bad at all. My doctor's assistants said pretty much the same thing. I just have to get a neighbor to take me there and pick me up as I'll be all drugged up from the relaxants and such

Spent my college summers in the wood. 79, worked at Fun Pier. Remember that waterslide that broke apart and people fell to the beach? 2nd year worked as a doorman at the Martinique Cafe. The fights, I saw. I remember Catholic school, then public school week. Then, the Shamrock. On my last day before going back to school the owner's nephew stuffed Shamrock T-shirts in my coat. The owner's son ,Pat Ford, caught it. He's hated me ever since. College was a blast. But Wildwood was better!

But I gotta tell you this....Wildwood is a-changing. BIGTIME.

So many hotels/motels are GONE. Loads of cottages - gone. Remember Moore's Inlet? That BIG bar across from The Red Garter? GONE. Fucking gone. That was MY personal hard hit to the heart. Loved that place. Now that I think about it, The Red Garter (more currently known as "The Beach House") is gone, too.

They are giving Wildwood a makeover. Tearing down all the places people are so used to seeing every year. Replacing with condo high-rises. It's quickly looking like a concrete jungle - the familiarity is disappearing at an alarming rate.

I'm almost afraid to head down there this year. :(
