My SIL made it through the latest layoffs at Microsoft (YAY!).

I wish my own mother were still around, but she does live on in my heart.

My older one is a professional painter now, and is starting to make a name for herself and her work...

It's tough with the economy the way it is.

And my younger one is very busy with her two boys and her husband, plus a full-time job as a 911 operator/dispatcher!

She does have quite a lot of job security...

It's just an alternative to Windows. No more viruses, spyware, etc. A Microsoft update that killed my firewall was the last straw for me.

And I've had no real problems with viruses...

They have happened, but it's rare.

it was a regular Windows update that crippled my machine.
