Pet peeve: posting videos as original posts.

I'm not in my own house, so watching videos or listening to audio is right out. Plus, on a message board I want to be able to quickly scan for information. I don't have 5 or 10 minutes to watch an interview or a music video. At the very LEAST we should be giving a written explanation for the video. At best, it should go in the video forum. It is just annoying to see an interesting subject line and then find it is just effectively a blank post.

1. I pretty much ignore the "video forum" for that exact reason.

I don't have (or want) sound at work, and really just want a snippet and a link to a story. If it's in any of the other forums, it should have some text describing what's in the video.

4. I enjoy watching many of the videos people post

and sometimes post them myself. However, I think it is a good idea to indicate the content in the subject line, so we can pass them by when we don't have time or don't feel like watching.
