The main thing with signed books, IMO, is keep them OUT OF THE SUN. I live in Arizona and it's been a chore to protect my book collection. Many of them have yellowed due to sun exposure even though they are indoors (obviously) and far away from windows.

Also, if you want to be fantatical about protecting the book, it's a good idea to keep it wrapped so it is not exposed to much air, nor moisture.
