Players of 'The Sims' - what's the naughtiest thing you had them do?
Make 'em turn to crime?

Have 'em make babies with each other?

These virtual people are fun!

It's like "Grand Theft Auto"! Only not as realistic!!

1. I tried playing "The Sims" once...
...and all I could get the little person I was controlling to do was to go on crying jags as large piles of garbage kept magically reappearing in the middle of her kitchen floor, no matter how many times she cleaned them up.

2. "The Sims 2" is worse...
I created a new lot; 5 adults. It's like 90210 on crack. And, like real pets, if you don't force them to the fridge to let them eat, they all die... I just found that out the hard way and I was so happy to get the two of them to cuddle... :(

I even bought the cute, well dressed and slightly pudgy emo a TV set, he's watching it, and is whining about what's on. (Sounds familiar... :D )

Yeah, figuring out how to control these virtual bastards is a real chore... :wow:

4. I tried for a second. I couldn't even keep my people from
peeing in their pants, much less keep them going to work.

3. I haven't played with my Sims in awhile,
but I think I starved a few of them to death before I figured out that you have to feed them.

5. I am a serious Simmer.
Edited on Fri May-15-09 09:47 PM by Lyric
I have every expansion, I know all of the built-in cheat codes, I make recolors of clothes and objects for my game, and I have extensive neighborhoods that are everything from a re-creation of my own growing-up neighborhood to a "test lab" 'hood where I'm doing genetic experiments to determine the allele frequency and dominance/recessiveness of custom eye and hair colors. :)

I am the uber Sims geek, I admit it. I also have bangin' hacks that make playing the game a LOT easier when micromanaging isn't what I'm in the mood for. ;)

Edit: Oh yeah--I have lots of naughty objects for my game, most of them "adult" in nature. It's amazing what Sims can be hacked to do. :D

8. Oh yes. Here, let me give you some leads:
http://www.modthesims2.com

http://www.sexysims2.com/

http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php

Note: Be careful at Simbology--make sure you pay VERY close attention to the instructions, and choose the right files for your particular game. You don't want to download something that's meant for a game with the Apartment Life expansion, for example, if you don't have it. Also, pay very close attention and make sure you don't install conflicting hacks.

That being said, Simbology is THE best source for game-improving hacks that exists. I've been using TwoJeffs' stuff for years and I have never, ever had a problem. These are the mods that people dream of--gardens that never need to be weeded or watered, mods that allow same-sex marriage, mods that allow same-sex couples to impregnate each other, mods that allow male Sims to be pregnant OTHER than with Alien babies, and ones that totally stop a hundred pointless, annoying autonomous behaviors.

Finally--when installing a game hack, a hacked object, skins (clothes, hair, etc.) or recolors of objects/walls/floors, always put the .package files into the EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads file in My Documents. :)

7. Nearly all my Sims are millionaires now, after five or so generations from the original two I had.
I have about nine houses that I play, some of which have the maximum number of Sims and pets. I mostly play these days to get video captures of the stupid shit they do. :P

9. My daughter has been obsessed with the Sims for about 5 years now
She makes Youtube videos, writes scripts and pretty much knows every cheat that's out there. I don't get into it to much, just keep an eye out to make sure her stuff isn't crossing the line of decency or into insanity (she's only 12, I HAVE to be nosy, it's a mom's job!). She created a Sims family the replicated our real life family. One day she started yelling " MOM! A satellite fell on you!" Sure enough, the "Sims" me met an unfortunate demise when a satellite fell on her. She knew a way to bring me back to life as a zombie so I'm Zombie Mom now. (Talk about art imitating life!)

13. In my current generation I've got siblings
Edited on Sat May-16-09 01:35 PM by MedleyMisty
who are also cousins. Their fathers are twins, and one of them married a romance Sim and the other stayed home for a rotation while his intended mate went to college. So I got the romance sim wife pregnant by both of them.

I married in the townie Sandy Bruty a couple of generations ago, and she got her woohoo 30 sims want fulfilled before she died. Her husband hated her, lol - but I got them reconciled in their last few days.

One of her lovers was randomly wandering around and got eaten by the cow plant, so I had Sandy drink him and then resurrect him as a zombie. It was cool for a bit but then I had the cow plant eat him again and he's now in the cow plant victim part of the Legosita (name of the neighborhood - I started it as a legacy challenge) graveyard.

A few years ago I was writing a legacy story and publishing it on the official site - the first eight chapters spent a few weeks as the top-rated stories on the Exchange. I miss those days, sigh. Anyway - in the story the second generation heir was a criminal mastermind obsessed by the color pink. His mother, the founder, got in fights with a few of the townies so they got a cowplant and made the townies stay in a cell for a few days and then fed them to the cowplant. One day he was in the cage gloating over the tombstones when his wife slammed the door on him and started a fire. (Yay for hacked buyable fire!)

You know, a lot of my readers said she did the right thing to protect their kids from his craziness.

Of course, you can find hacks to allow them to do quite naughty things. I don't have those, but I do have ACR - autonomous casual romance. I set the parameters so it doesn't wreak too much havoc, but I do occasionally have playable Sims that I'm not currently controlling start flirting and fall in love while I'm on a community lot with another family. My favorite thing about ACR is that you can set the percentages of straight, gay, and bi Sims you want in your neighborhood and it'll randomize the preferences for you - you can have it randomize the whole neighborhood, townies and NPCs only, or only Sims who don't have a preference yet.

I also recently got the hack that changes "joining" for same sex couples to marriage. :) I haven't gotten the one that allows them to have biological kids yet - the kids in the adoption pool need love too.

15. After her husband cheated on her with the maid
I had one of the premade Sims "kill herself" by jumping into the pool after I had removed the ladder. It took a hell of a lot of work afterward because one of the daughters all of a sudden decided that she wanted to swim, so I had to keep steering her away from my death trap.

16. I have a black widow character.
Since they get 20,000 simoleans each time a new man moves in, she's married most of the men in the neighborhood, had a few kids and then she traps them in a doorless room until they starve.
