EULESS, Texas — A minor earthquake shook parts of North Texas but no damage nor injuries had been reported.

Jesse Moore with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth said Saturday's earthquake at 11:24 a.m. came in at 3.3, according to the National Earthquake Information Center.

Moore said he had not heard of any reports of damage nor injuries. Moore said the earthquake was centered about four miles south of Euless and 18 miles west of Dallas.

Robert Budack, who lives in Irving, told The Associated Press he was on his bed and got bounced to the wall, but was not hurt.

Budack said he felt an aftershock that "was enough to make the couch and chairs shake."

10. The Whittier quake didn't scare me as much as this one

I think it was because I wasn't sure what it was. It didn't shake, much, at all. But the one big jolt was truly frightening. Especially working at the airport & not knowing if it could have been... well... something worse.

ever so slightly too far away to feel the tremors.

11. My hubby felt it -

he thought the tank farm on Trinity Blvd had exploded! According to the geo website, it was 4 miles from our house - I was in Carollton and didn't feel it.

12. I didn't feel it...

I didn't feel it... as a matter of fact, I only found out about it this morning.

On the other hand, there was an unexpected and rather dramatic fireworks display coming from the direction of the UTA stadium on Friday night. I hope everyone in the area had that same wonderfully, goofy surprised look on their faces as I did. :hi:
