I find Ms. Dion's delivery to be forced and over the top. Streisand sings with true heart and her phrasing is quite unique. She's a damned good director, actress and comedienne as well.

Dionne is terms of intelligence and musicality I can't believe you'd even set up a comparison. Go back to the very first album Streisand ever made...(yes, I'm old enough to remember it...it blew me away.....)
and listen to the way she does the Three Little Pigs song....and then the Happy Days Are Here Again thing (done like a rueful lament) and tell me that anything Dionne has done comes anywhere near it, and I'll eat it. Streisand has had to negotiate the whole superstar Hollywood cannibals anti female thing since, and, yes, she's been a pain in the ass sometimes...but...she's an extraordinary artist.
Really! Dionne is pipes with no brains, no taste, no personhood.
