Somebody, somewhere along the line, thought this was something funny and made an animated GIF of Chris Brown beating the crap out of Rhianna. Daughter Dear claims not to know "for sure" who sent it to her (sigh) but it got erased. We then talked about why domestic violence is NEVER a subject that is humorous.

I guess this is what passes for "humor" in the tween set here in rural redneck land. I knew when we moved back out here that sooner or later we'd face a day when we ran full bore into the resident ignorance that haunts a small town, but I am still screamingly pissed. I am just about ready to take away that cell phone, but I know quite well that if it isn't this kind of thing happening, that ignorance will manifest in some other way...
