M*A*S*H* fans: do you like this episode?
"Follies of the Living--Concerns of the Dead."

I didn't know the title until tonight, but it's the one in which the spirit of a dead soldier wanders the camp, and only Klinger, delirious with fever, can see or hear him.

Freaked me out a little when I was eleven, and I still like it quite a bit.

Your thoughts?

1. I was watching that one too!
That ep was written and directed by Alan Alda. I confess I missed the ending, but I saw most of it - and really enjoyed it. Showed that when a soldier (or anyone) dies, that's not the end of the story. He had a life before he died, and plans for a life after the war. I found it quite moving.

The ep before it with the two Korean brothers - one fighting for the north, and one the south was also really good.

Then again, I generally love MASH. :)

5. I think John Locke once said he trusts in providence in such situations.

6. That was an awesome episode.
I can't believe how much M*A*S*H* is watched around the country. When I worked for Nielson, it was the most watched show on TV. That and, get this...Sanford & Son.

7. That surprises me
I don't think I've ever seen a full episode of S&S, for whatever reason. No one in my family ever watched it when I was growing up, so I guess it never really took hold for me.

But I'd guess that at any half-hour of the day, M*A*S*H* is airing in syndication somewhere in the country.

8. Without sounding like a northeastern snob, most of the S&S viewing was in
thw southern states. MASH was all over. Some people watched one episode after another for hours.

9. Great episode!
MASH is a favorite show, so I like just about all of them. I liked a lot of the unusual ones, like the episode
told strictly from the patient's point of view, or when they went to sleep and we saw their dreams, Klinger back in
Toledo, Charles was a magician, etc.

That one and the one when Pierce is on the bus. You know the one of which I speak, right?
