Imagine my dismay when, as a pompous adult, I discovered that the word "disheveled" was not, as I had always thought, pronounced "dis-heveled", but, rather, "dish-eveled". And I no longer went out each morning, fully heveled.

Or, as a kid, hearing ads for candy bars with the creamy nougat center, I had it fixed in my mind that nougat meant center. So, in Freshman Communications I wrote that such and such reveals the nougat of the problem. When I got my paper back, I became emotionally un-heveled again.

However, it has gotten to be that everybody on all sides uses so many all caps that they all look like stupid, screaming jerks.
