British actress Lucy Gordon commits suicide in Paris apartment
A young British actress has hanged herself in her Paris flat just two days before her 29th birthday.

The body of Lucy Gordon, who had starred in number of big budget Hollywood films including Spider-Man 3, was found suspended from the ceiling of her mansion block apartment.

She was reportedly found by her boyfriend who had been asleep in bed when she killed herself.

Witnesses described him running out of the flat, desperately screaming for help.

A shopkeeper accompanied him back inside but there was nothing anyone could do.

Police were called to the scene, in the rue des Petits Ecuries, on Paris's Right bank.

‘It was a horrific scene,’ said one officer . ‘The young woman had taken her own life in terrible circumstances.

'Her boyfriend discovered her body on Wednesday morning and we attended the scene at her flat.

'We confirmed her death and there were no indications it was anything other than suicide.

'We are not seeking anyone else.'

1. So very sad. I worked with her personally
and I knew her personally. She was very friendly to me and just a very pretty natural-looking girl with a lot of freckles, a pretty smile and, at the time, a wonderful Yorkie she took everywhere around town (NYC).

I wonder what was going on with her life to make her want to end it. She was a successful model and actress; she had taken a few acting classes here and there. She seemed so full of life and so young.

4. Sometimes nothing is really going on...
Sometimes nothing at all.

3. That's really sad.
Such a young age to come to a decision like that.

As long as we are alive, there is always a chance things can get better.
But once we are dead, all our chances are gone.

6. I just read, though, that others say that Lucy and her boyfriend
were heard fighting the night before -- and a little doubt has been cast over the suicide conclusion.
