He seems to believe that if he just barks at it enough, it will stop hiding from him.

Does anyone else's dog do this stuff?

In the meantime, meet Moose, six-month-old chocolate Lab, and the apple of our eye...

Moose gets his first bath

Moose models the lovely Elizabethan collar he got in exchange for his -- well -- manhood. The collar comes off tomorrow!

2. He's our baby
The vet told us we had to keep him quiet for 14 days. I asked him if he was insane. Needless to say, our sweet boy is now off the tranquilizers, and starting to behave like the wild man he was when we picked him up from his former owner's.

Moose is typically a pretty happy guy, but I have to laugh at the whole "F*ck you, ball! I'll bark at you till you come out!" stuff. Unfortunately, I'm sure this is encouraging the behavior. ;-)

Funny how vets can ask the absolute impossible with a straight face, ain't it.

Moose is a beauty!

3. A cousin of mine has a chocolate lab
I love that dog..supersmart...on a hot day if my cousin jumps into the car instead of his truck..he will refuse to get in the car because he would rather lay in the shade,no AC in the car. He is afraid of helium balloons and mirrors..he's a real riot.

4. The vet made sure to tell us how smart Moose is
I'm a little concerned. ;-)

:woohoo:

One thing we've already learned: He likes to roll the ball or the Kong under the lip of the family room couch, bark at it, then look at us pleadingly. It took me a little while to figure out he was playing with me. ;-)

9. That's a Lab for you! We've had three

in thirty years; two chocolate males and a yellow female. They're great dogs but they do play games.

10. Moose's middle name is "play with me"
He just grabbed a ball out from under the kitchen table, now he's tossing it back and forth and running to retrieve it.

What a goofball! :woohoo:
