I just murdered a family of 100.
As I wrap up my night I go outside for a smoke before bed. I'm tired, been doing construction work all day. I'm doing that final unwind before bed.

So I come back in looking over the basement I'm finishing evaluating my progress, when I notice the new unwanted roommate. A MASSIVE spider (I live in the woods all the bugs are massive here) that it really ugly and fuzzy. She's about 4 inches in diameter (legs and all) and really fuzzy. So like any good spider hater I pick up the push broom and whack the bastard. Well to my surprise (with school girl scream of terror included) the fuzz becomes about 75 to 100 evil baby spiders. Momma spider, who I missed on first strike is fleeing in terror, while all the children are starting to spread. Well, I finally kill mom, which of course take about a thousand push broom blows and begin sweeping up all the babies. I run to the garage, my feet not actually contacting the ground I'm sure and get the can of kills anything and precede to soaking the basement floor. It seems to have done it's job.

So....

Now I'm a murderer and wide fucking awake. I also have the creepy crawlies with what I know are a dozen baby spiders crawling on me that I can not see.

1. Wow. The exact same scenario happened to me in my living room once.
It was HOURS before I was able to convince myself that a thousand of those little fuckers weren't crawling all over me...

4. You have to take a shower with the water running as strong as
you can make it (another ASAP = As Strong As Possible) to get rid of the heebie jeebies. That's pretty much SOP when I get 'em. I think there should be a handbook for how to cope with the heebie jeebies.

3. Pfft! That's nothing.
We found an 18 inch snake in the house tonight. I thought, by its pattern and size, it might have been a copperhead. Turned out to be a rat snake, but that didn't take my terror or my aunt's terror, or Yogi's terror away. Sunday Girl just sat there. She's a mouser, but snakes are on her "I don't do that" list. Yogi wouldn't even come in the room. He peeked around the corner at me, worried looking, the whole time. Then, he went to my room and started calling me, all worried, but still no hero, like.

THEN,
I found a spider in the wash room. It was huge, I tell ya. Yes, it was a grass spider, not a Wolfie, but still, I've done battle with a snake AND a spider tonight. Beat that! Ha!

:P
