Lighten up. Don't take it personally. Because it's not personal, you know. As far as the Creedence thread goes, most of those people were agreeing that Creedence was a great band - there were only a couple of people who commented that Creedence without Fogarty was not the same. Which is a valid point.

There are a few, which occur on just about any music thread, but most of them say they like CCR.

It's interesting to me that most DUers will say, "I don't care for (a certain kind of food)" rather than "(certain kind of food) sucks"....though I have heard "Beer tastes like piss" on numerous occasions.

But why do we put down people's musical tastes? I'll never understand it.

What I know about Droopy--he's a great guy who can write his ass off, has a heart as big as the outdoors, has had his share of problems & is working on them, lost a ton of weight & is well loved here.

23. Oh, I know the F chord, C chord, D, G, E, A, power chords, bar chords

I know two blues scales and I have a book with a bunch more scales. I can play basic blues patterns, Fade to Black, Back in Black, Stairway to Heaven, and I can figure out the basic rhythm part of just about any song that is comprised of power chords- actually keeping time is a different matter, though.

I'm looking forward to getting to know a guitar teacher. I'm just going to tell her/him to treat me like a beginner because I've probably picked up a lot of bad habits.

28. I did that, but I have a low attention span, and stopped the lessons after a few weeks.

I have often wished I had continued, but the chance is long over - I still try to pick things up online from various sources.

I am glad you obviously enjoy playing so much - it has been a great pleasure to me for many years.
