'Ghostbusters 3' Progressing Nicely The gang is back together again.
In a new interview, Dan Aykroyd reveals that Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson are all on board for a third installment in the Ghostbusters series. Aykroyd also dispelled the idea that Murray's involvement was the only thing holding the project back.

Murray's career choices as of late have gone from small independent flicks such as Broken Flowers and The Limits of Control to voice work in the two Garfield films. Aykroyd recently appeared opposite John Cusack in the satire War Inc. as well as I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Ramis stepped behind the camera recently for Year One, which opens this summer. The same writing team behind Year One, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, is also responsible for the new Ghostbusters script.

1. I = awesome. II = shit. III = well, it's a remake/reboot/purportedly overdue sequel/prequel
Might be good.

2. My grandson totally gets Ghostbusters...
Age 6...
It's amazing to see his sense of humor evolve...
When he giggles at certain places in the movie...it makes me laugh.

I don't see why III can't work...

4. And this time they are the ghosts!
Okay this has more potential than a Rambo 27 and will be interesting if written well.

7. What? Old fuckers like us who are passing the comedy torch?
I personally am looking forward to it. And I too remember my Beautiful Daughter singing along to the Ghostbusters song when she was a little kid.

8. I'll always be a fan of the first one....shit, I used to watch the cartoon after school
but the second one was pretty bad and I think it just ended there...I would prefer to remember them as they were then.

Plus...take into consideration how badly fucked-up it could be. I sure wish I had a tenth of your optimism about it. All of these remakes-sequels-prequels of movie classics these days....doesn't anyone have fresh ideas? or do they really owe that much to a decade? I understand they are re-making Karate Kid ( directed by Will Smith and starring his son for the main role ). :eyes:
