John & Kate are angry with the media. What a pair of Dumbass - you 2 put yourself there!
I swear they need to stop making TV shows about people who unusally high number of children. This is not doing us any good by glorifying such anomallies and giving women the idea that if they use their uterus for large births (I'm looking at you Nadya Suleman) that they too can be a celebrity.

So John & Kate are angry at the media. Those 2 are blaming the wrong people for their problems - perhaps they should look in the mirror if they want to know who to blame. Perhaps if they just spent the time raising their kids instead of being quasi-celebrities, they might have a healthy marriage. I mean what housewife of 8 children out there needs a bodyguard??!!! John & Kate brought this mess into their home and deserve what they get. Do they seriously think a TV show wouldn't change who they are?

'Jon & Kate' spouses say they're angry at media

Clearly, the Gosselin marriage was under a strain as the new season started for the TLC series, "Jon & Kate Plus 8."

No wonder. The daily challenges of a super-size family with eight kids in the house have recently been overshadowed by reports that Jon and Kate cheated on each other. Both of them have denied the allegations.

But on Monday's premiere (along with scenes of the party), Kate and Jon addressed the media firestorm that has engulfed them from beyond the carefully tended boundaries of their own reality show.

"Did I ever think I'd see myself on the front of the tabloids?" said Kate indignantly. "Or see those words that are there? No. It kills me!"

And Jon, who insisted he was "being innocent and hanging out" despite reports of an affair with a 23-year-old schoolteacher, said, "I never read a tabloid magazine until I was in one. And the first one I bought was the last one I bought."

As they reflected on the scandals that have made their lives so difficult and put their marriage in peril, the Gosselins were filmed individually, each seated alone on a sofa — in itself, a revealing touch.

2. I'm reading about all her travel - why isn't she at home taking care of those kids
That doesn't mean she shouldn't work. She could easily find a job working nearby and be home at night to take care of her children. It seems Kate is more worried about being a celebrity then being a mother.

3. I'll bet she thinks she can parlay this into a movie deal.
You know she dreams of hobnobbing with celebs in Hollywood. Nobody will even remember who she is in a couple of years after the kids get too big and the show is cancelled.

4. I watched part of an episode last weekend with my neice.
I had an unpleasant flashback to my marriage - Kate was trying to tell Jon what to say... what to think. That behavior is not conducive to a good relationship.

8. I once worked for a Type A controlling boss like Kate
I HATED it, I couldn't stand working for that boss, no way could I be married to one that like.

5. Didn't watch the show
but did read about it today and find it disgusting.

As a mother of four (three are teens) I cannot imagine the negative behavior which has been engrained into their kids by having rolling cameras all the time! What about the ones who aren't as cute, or say something that has to be repeated for the cameras? They will grow up with serious emotional and psychological damage by constantly feeling inadequate for the world to accept.

And who in their right mind would want to display their marital troubles in public, much less on television? And who would want to embarrass their CHILDREN by revealing all this in front of everyone?? This family is an absolute disgrace! Both Jon and Kate are driven by nothing but greed and the desire to be noticed, rather than being satisfied with the real joys of parenting a family on their own outside of the public's eye. Nobody invaded their space--they INVITED THE PUBLIC and now they complain?

The best thing they could do right now is kick out the cameras, move to a tiny house in Oblivionville, USA and get a marriage counselor. Stop begging for free shit, too. Who cares that you popped out so many babies, Kate? You're not a fucking martyr, either! And both Jon and Kate need to go out and get a normal job so they can give their poor kids a rest.

7. I wish they would go away.
How about a network showcasing a normal family??

She clearly reminds me of all the high-mainteanance soccer moms I have met and didn't like.

9. Well having spent the weekend being force fed them
by my wife who loves this show, I have no sympathy for either of them.

The show is a business. Plain and simple. And the saying goes, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

11. They make those shows because people watch them
People watch them, people buy the tabloids, people post about them on message boards. Why would they stop making shows like that when they obviously have an audience? Sick? Stupid? Absolutely. But that seems to be what the viewing public wants, dog help us.

16. Didn't she say something to effect of "viewers expect to see our kids grow up"
As her justification for continuing the show?

She clearly worded it in a way that she "owes" the "viewers" the ability to see her children on TV. Nary a word about what she owes her CHILDREN as their MOTHER. And as far as I'm concerned, he's just as bad for not forcefully pulling the plug, because he's as addicted to the free shit as she is.

What monstrously horrible parents.

17. I expect to see all children grow-up. I don't need a TV show to prove it
She needs to stop hitting the snooze button on her 15 minutes and disappear into the sunset. Focus on her family and raising her kids instead of being a 'celebrity'

21. I liked the show.
Back before Kate got into Severe Controlling Mode, their relationship was a happy one and fun to watch. And those kids are seriously adorable. Now I think she needs to get off the book circuit and go back into nursing and Jon needs to find another IT job outside the home. They were happier when he went to work every day and she had full control of the house and the kids. I hope it works out for them.

22. I watched just for the helluva it last night.
I've seen a few snippets of the show before, and don't plan on being a regular viewer in the future, but with all of the hype, I thought I would check it out last night. So I did.

On last night's show, I found Kate to be a sniveling little attention-whore. She commented no less than four times about having to do the birthday party "all by myself". When the scenes of the actual party set-up were shown, it sure didn't look like she was all by herself. She had numerous helpers (as she does in her normal routine).

Of the two of them, I found myself feeling more sympathy for Jon, and I don't think he's any prince himself.

Bottom line, they got themselves into what they are now into (even if they try to say they didn't know they did) and the cameras capturing all of the marriage turmoil cannot be a good thing for the children.

To me, it's pretty obvious that they are in this for the money, and Kate, especially, enjoys the notoriety.

never seen it never will, This reality tabloid garbage's popularity says a lot for the viewer's lack of character as well. You know you are a really fucked up couple if you actually make the creepy Duggars look good by comparison.

The station needs to drop them. It's time for them to close the doors on their home and raise their children out of the lime light.
