Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle is "so overrated", according to a message Lily Allen has posted on her Twitter page.

Allen said 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi, who impressed the judges in the auditions when he performed a Michael Jackson song, has far more talent than Boyle.

After watching Boyle perform Memory during Sunday's semi-final, Allen tweeted: "Susan Boyle is so over-rated... I thought her timing was off, no control, and I don't think she has an amazing voice."

She added: "Yes, she can sing, but it's not about talent with her, is it? She seems like a lovely lady but if it's about talent, that Shaheen kid should win."
