Well, I just finished watching the first season of "Heroes"
It was cool, but hardly earth shattering. The ending scene in DT New York where a dozen "special" people gang up and beat up the bad "special" person and murder a few stock businessman villains was satisfying.

But will I like the subsequent seasons? Should I rent them next? I seem to recall reading the show petered out after season one. Is that true or was that just a few never-satisfied types venting?

1. Season One and done for me.
Season one had too many filler episodes, where the plot basically sat in a holding pattern. I donated my DVD set to the library.

2. Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there
I was on the edge of my seat with season 1. Season 2 I watched the TiVoed eps whenever I could. Last season...er...canceled the season pass. :(

3. It had the "Lost" syndrome...
where things get so complicated you actually have to work to understand the plot and characters and you really start to wonder if the writers have a plan.

4. Season 2 had some characters who were on for a while

and then were never heard from again. They just got dropped and no explanation was ever given. It doesn't help that Kring seems to have abandoned even the appearance of remembering characters' backstories, either.

I watched suffered through Season 3, but unless they really blow my socks off in the first couple of episodes of the upcoming season that's it for me.
