I love cheapass B-Movies like I love WIN95 videogames.

Antonio Sabatio Sr. did a BUNCH of horribly cheap
Italian-produced SF movies, one of which was dubbed (badly)
into English and sold on VHS as "War of the Robots".

The LIGHTSABER appears on this cheapass movie,
complete with MONO sound effects, years before
Episode IV hit the big screen.

1. Seriouisly?: *ZERO* responses to the fact that the "lightsaber" predates Lucas?
And you people call yourselves GEEKS! :eyes:

2.  I always thought the light saber represented the pen.

4. Well since I always thought of it as a pen.
I figured it was never originally created in Star Wars IV, or that other movie.

 but I understand your point.

5. The thing it truly represents starts with the letters "P-E-N"; that's a fact.
I just wanted to point out that Lucas wasn't the first
to STEAL the "lightsaber" concept.

6. I disagree with that analogy for many reasons.
however it may or may not have been the idea behind it in some peoples thoughts. I don't chose to see it that way, nor do I like the over use of phallic symbols.
