Sure, he probably teaches them awful things (see that blog) but he spends most of his non-work, non-weight-lifting, non-one-night-out-a-week-on-Thursdays being a good dad taking his kids to boy scouts, dance, little league, basketball, cheering, etc as well as teaching Obeson how to bat and field properly and almost ride a bike. Obeson has been nagging his mom to marry Dave so he can have a real dad; he tells Dave that he loves having an almost-step-dad.
