This thing tomorrow night. with Denver Young Dems.
Edited on Fri Mar-12-04 09:22 PM by coloradodem2004
Last Tuesday I attended my first Denver Young Democrats meeting. Tomorrow night, there is the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner, which I cannot afford. But there is the after party which I could theoretically go to if I wanted to. I am just worried about money and it is a fair distance away at Dave and Busters. I have practically been hiding myself away from the beginning of August to mid February and need to get out again. What do you think?

2. Go ahead.
You might meet many new people there, who might share some good ideas. You, too, might share some of your own good ideas.

I beet it will be worth it!

3. Go

And have a good time. You'll feel more positive and energized talking to Dems who also care enough to show up at a party function.

Why have you been hiding away so long? I've done that before, too--not healthy.

5. I hid away because last year was killing me.
I had been screwed over and had a series of social failures, so I hid away for the most part.

4. Think of it as supporting true democracy.
'cause if you go to the party and have a good time, you're more likely to go back to other functions...

and therefore, more likely to get involved with the organization

and perhaps bring other progressive/democratic-leaning people who might never ordinarily get involved in political things, (but enjoy D & Bs) to the organization...

I wish there was a Dave and Busters here!

6. "Denver Young Dems" -
Think they'd let this 56 year old fart Denverite in? Where is Dave & Busters?
