Poll question: guitar junkies: SG, Les Paul, or Flying V?
Edited on Fri Mar-12-04 10:02 PM by LastKnight
lets ignore the price differences, if money was not an issue, and you could only get one, what would you get?

me - i prefer flattops so les pauls dont fit me very well, and a V would be ok, but i think thier kinda awkward to play, especially if your a lazyass and wanna sit like i do. id like an old 60s SG or something. ive currently got a 'sg classic' but thats as close as ive come to a vintage sg.

sure, i coulda included the other gibson models, but eeh, i dont feel like it. lol.

so- whats your pick?

Edit: added 'other' option due to people not wanting these fine insturments. lol

3. Toss-up between LP and SG...
but certainly not the Flying V. It's tied with the Vox Teardrop as ugliest guitar ever (if one doesn't count those metalboy rocketship guitars from the 80s)

4. SG is nice and Flying V just looks badass, but
Had to go with the les. I had a flying V once. Was a pain in the ass to sit on a stool and play. Of course, that ain't no "sittin'" guitar, is it?

5. SG
Is one of the most beautiful instruments ever made, but I love the sound (though not the weight) of the Les Paul better. The first guitar I owned was an SG knock-off. I then bought a real one, but my favorite was my blond Telecaster.

14. Ah, the V...
Underrated guitar, except by the Scorpions...

I saw Albert King in NYC in 1991 playing a Vintage V...incredible. Could that old man ever lay it down.

The V is a fantastic blues and metal guitar.

Everybody plays a Les Paul...I saw Les Paul play in NYC too. The Les Paul is actually a Jazz guitar. Just ask Les.
