The pop of leather when a heater meets the catchers mitt…
The sound of hickory when a curve hangs and the batter gets a piece of it. Managers and umpires exchanging pleasantries over a pick-off at second. Beer and dogs in the fifth.

I am counting the days until that first ball is tossed out. Its going to be the year of baby bears. Go Cubs.

1. Ah, have you ever sat in the bleachers at Wrigley Field?
Never on opening day, of course, because the weather is usually 30-some degrees with a strong northeast wind that even the Nathan's hotdogs are cold before they hit the bun.

3. That's another reason to hate the Cubbies
Nathan's dogs are from New York. Comiskey (yep, I cannot call it "Celular Field") has Vienna dogs. Betcha the Sox win more games than the Cubbies.

First shot across the bow! Sox Rule baby! I will bet that the Sox win more games than the stinken' Cubs. Oh, yeah, if you're a Cub fan, you're likely to be a Repuke.

6. I love their starters.
I have no problem with individual players. I grew up on the South side and I just cannot abide the Cubs.

7. Hickory?
Almost all bats these days are made of maple or ash.
