1. Funniest Books I Ever Read
were two by Rita Mae Brown; Six of One, and Bingo. If you need to laugh, a lot, out loud, read them. Read Six of One first.

2. Woody Allen
Woody Allen's short stories are hilarious. They're collected in the books Without Feathers, Side Effects and Getting Even. Allen's sense of humor is pretty odd, and absurd, but every time I read those books I laugh aloud. Also, Steve Martin's Cruel Shoes is absurdly hilarious.
