12. Can't have that in comedy...everything else but not sexist humor, must be
Edited on Sat Mar-13-04 02:13 AM by Zinfandel
politically correct, always...what a dry, no fun world, so serious. Reverse it...if a man were the Heinz heir...would a man be so appalled by the same joke.

Absolutely not!

It was a funny line and that's all it was...

So all who laugh are sexist...I know many (men included) who don't mind a smack on the ass during sex...gee, how obscene...no fun here.

No, no this shouldn't be comedy.

Love to hear your idea of what's funny..yes, even the audience was blown away...but laughed at the humor of it.

Reminds me of Jerry Falwell taking Larry Flint to court.

Besides...I have a sense of humor...it wasn't funny.

13.  have a love/hate relationship with Kerry
Edited on Sat Mar-13-04 01:30 AM by Jax
love that a rich white born North Eastern supposedly liberal male will beat b*sh, a white rich North Eastern conservative born male.

I HATE that as a lifelong Dem I have to vote for a Democratic fool who voted "YES" to the Iraq war, believed the appointed deserter's LIES even I saw through those lies....blah, blah, blah, "UN was why I voted Yes" is bullshit. Complete BULLSHIT.

The pre-emptive WAR has a face in my home NSMA. Please don't condescend anymore. THe yea to Pre-emptive war vote is REAL.

All your condescending shit like 'Kerry really voted for UN intervention in his YES IWR Vote' doesn't mean anything to me. He gave an APPOINTED DESERTER the right to launch pre-emptive war. He voted YES to pre-emptive war. War has a face in my house.

Senator Patty Murray voted NO to IWR. She is up for re-election. She gets my money and work and vote. When I have any money to give.

Kerry is the Dem nominee..his votes for b*sh lately SUCK! His VOTES SUCK!!!

Jax

Using guilt on me for a war that was going to happen no matter how
Edited on Sat Mar-13-04 01:33 AM by nothingshocksmeanymo
Kerry voted isn't a very effective debate tactic.

No the war does not have a personal face in my home so I cannot personalize my experience.

If the war has a face in your home it is more likely than not because someone in your home enlisted as we haven't had a draft for a couple of decades.

DOn't try and shame me simply because we disagree.

YOu can believe what you want about my posts...I don't offer a directional on my views...some are right of center some are left of center.

I am fine with whatever you believe but making it a personal attack on me or anyone else is a cheap shot.

And what the fuck is up with commenting on my picture...was that a threat?

If you don't like Kerry don't vote for him. What the fuck does that have to do with Bill Maher...or were you just feeling the need to lash out tonight?

on edit: I notice you edited your post to remove the attack on BLM and the comment on my picture...my post stands...was that a threat?

18. No I haven't
Again..was that comment about my picture a threat? I've already had to contact law enforcement over the actions of one whacked out DU'er...I can make it two if you'd like..if not try to demonstrate a bit of responsibility and sobriety next time you address me.

And cram the warmonger talk. If someone in your home enlisted they are a much greater war monger than I.

21. Whatever
you aren't exactly doing yourself any favors with your posts in this thread. Again...if someone in your home is over there it is because they enlisted..we haven't had a draft in years..blaming me for them being there is like blaming me for someone being hit by a drunk driver just because I had a drink a week ago.

11. I suspect after that remark
John Kerry could pick up a quick million or so votes by punching Maher upside the head really, really hard.
John
Bill Maher reminds me of the guy in high school who spent most of his time with his head in a toilet. There's a world of difference between a jester and a fool.

It was a bit crass, but not sexist. It was a play on her being the ketchup heiress. My husband and I about bust a gut laughing.

Hell, Carlin was a guest tonight.

Carlin is my favorite comedian, and he is hardly politically correct.

My personal favorite comment tonight was from the former Canadian PM, 'If nothing is offending you, you are not living in a free society.'

Never heard that quote before, but it sure clicked in my mind.

Imagine the kind of place we would live in if we had to censor everything to the point where no one would be offended?

Sure no one would be offended, but it would be boring.

No thank you.

23. It was funny
in a condiment kind of way.But the best joke was the the one about Class War in America.

Yale Class 56 vs Yale Class 68

If anyone is interested, check out the rise in the numbers of Skull & Bonesmen owned corporations. There you will find the biggest winners of Class Warfare.

The more it changes the more it stays the same.
