Okay, I say the strokes wanna be the stooges
The transplants (at least that one tune) wanna be the clash

any others?

3. Maybe,
Zeppelin is obviously a huge influence when you listen to their music. I hear people talk about them being influenced by King Crimson mostly, but I can't hear that, whenever I listen to them the only band that comes to mind is Zeppelin.

8. No shit!
On one hand, I'm glad to see a band doing that kind of music, but on the other hand, they don't have the talent. That singer--every time he goes into falsetto, I just cringe. Freddie Mercury, he ain't. The funny thing is, I read that the band found him, and decided he'd be their singer, when they saw him doing karaoke of "Bohemian Rhapsody"!!!!

5. Jet wants to be just about any band from the late 60s-70s.
their 'are you gonna be my girl' video is almost to 'Sargent pepper' to watch, but their a cool band.

so they all want to be bands of yesterday. Rockandroll is completely played out. It is no more relevant than ragtime.
