How long has Mary (of Peter, Paul and Mary) looked like Jerry Lewis?

Seriously, there's a documentary on PBS, and she looks like Jerry Lewis on all those steroids.

Just a great singer who helped define an era. Going to watch the documentary now (think we have some Lawrence Welk thing on here on PBS, though). May your coming years be blessed with no physical deterioration - and if it is, may no one post on it.

3. Understand, I mean no offense...

I realize that we all go downhill a bit as we get older (except for Dick Clark). I'm just making an observation, not unlike "How long has Mick Jagger looked like Don Knotts?" I was just worried that she may have a serious health issue.

I haven't seen Mary lately, but Mick Jagger looking like Don Knots almost knocked me of my chair laughing! I never made the connection anymore but its true! :)

8. I Saw Her on a TV Forum Several Years Ago

talking with with Country Joe McDonald and some other pacifists. I couldn't believe it -- Mary not only looked like a truck driver, she sounded like one.

As a budding adolescent in the late 60's, I adored Mary Travers -- her voice and her looks. It was just a bit of a shock.

11. I actually met her because I used to work at the Newport Folk

Festival in Newport,RI years ago. In fact I remember she saw my name sticker and said she had a daughter with the same name (Alicia). It was cool.

I was shocked to see her tonight bec I saw her on TV a few years ago and although she was heavy, she didn't look or sound sick.

Her face looks as though she is on prednisone (sp?) and her speech is definitely strange. I think she is sick.
