Poll question: Goodfellas or Casino?

Listen up, patrone. Both dese movies are Scorscese at his best, ya know?

I mean, sure "Marty No-Oscar" has his non-mob epics, and a sizeable list of respectable films under his belt, but for Wiseguy epics, nothing comes close to Goodfellas and Casino. Yeah, yeah, there's "Mean Streets", but that's just too unpolished to count in this poll. You don't like it? That's tough, because that's how it is.

Listen, you rat, Goodfellas is probably a better story, but Casino's casting and violence are without peer.

The only problem is deciding which film has controlling interest in the syndicate's subconscious, capice?

Goodfellas has to get the vote. Better cast, better story, and it led to the brilliant toon, Goodfeathers, on Animaniacs.

We have balls poked out with icepicks, an eyeball squeezed out by a vise cranked against a guy's head, and Joe getting beaten to death by baseball bats. How can you miss? :D

If only for the scene where joe pesci and his brother get buried alive. Best mob scene ever.

7. here's what's great about that scene:

1) the fact that it has Peschi narrating the scene, and his narration ends in "ARGH!", in mid sentence, as he's hit from behind by Frankie.

2) Frankie and the rest of the bat-swingers are so fat and out of shape that they are shown leaning on their bats, winded, during the beating.
