2. Not all Christians are assholes.
I have no problem with liberal Christians. Some (most?) are good people. I think they are deluding themselves into believing in the supernatural, but that's merely a philosophical difference I can live with. What I can't live with are the crazy right-wing fundies like the ones in my family.

I even know a few fundies who are decent people, although I wonder if they feel conflicted. It's hard to be a good person and be a fundy at the same time. I know. I tried it. It's almost impossible. You have to hold conflicting views simultaneously, be judgmental, love the sinner and hate the sin. It's a real pain in the ass.

8. Sheesh. Some atheists are very good people, some are assholes.
What's your point?

3. But it doesn't matter...
...because they'll get bashed here just the same.

:-(

(I see by the previous responses that I wasn't off-base...)

9. Here I am. Bash me.
I'm a follower of Christ. What would you like to say to me, asteroid? C'mon, big guy. Don't hold back. Let's hear it.

I'm waiting....

5. I think the important thing
is that people are trying to do good and make a difference. Doesn't matter what label they put on themselves.

7. We should strive to respect all people
just because they are people. An individual may lose another's respect, but it is because of that individual's own actions (GW Bush springs to mind). Even then, it may be instructive to try and understand why the individual took the actions they took.

Don't get me wrong, the actions of many people disturb me. But in my way of looking at things, people are in different stages of spiritual evolution, so of course their actions will be different than mine. Getting mad at them (which I often do) doesn't seem to change their actions, and merely raises my blood pressure.

Obviously, this is merely my opinion, and you are entitled to a different one.

10. I humbly suggest you broaden your horizons.

"Is it not ALL" --

No. It is not.

Edit: I just read the article. It seems you did not. Note the article's tag line:

"Art Gish is serving in Baghdad with Christian Peacemaker Teams, an initiative of the historic peace churches (Mennonites, Church of the Brethren, and Quakers) with support and membership from a range of Catholic and Protestant denominations, promoting violence-reduction efforts around the world. http://www.cpt.org"

Now, tell me again how it is that ALL Christians "perpetually seek someone to wage war against." Hmm?
