Poll question: If the Bush Administration were a Star Trek Alien Race......
Which one would fit their agenda.
I started to vote Borg but the Borg are very intelligent so I
went with The Ferengi....Deceitful, Greedy and unscrupulous.

Although, now I think about it, there was that Race that tricked
Gordi (chief Engineer) to help them fix their space-ship and were dumb as a box of rocks.."Duh, he is on our side now"

17. Actually, they were pretty smart with money.
Which sets them apart even more from Bush and company.

The alleged stupidity was more to be comical.

5. They are tribbles
They seem cute and innocent at first, then they eat all the resources and destroy the enviroment. Maybe we can teleport them to another planet and make someone else take care of them.

6. Not Klingons.
Klingons had honor, Shrubya and co. have none. I would definitely say Ferengi in terms of greed, and a juxtaposition of Romulans and Cardassians for foreign policy.

8. The Borg. Evil. Underestimate them at your risk.
The Ferengi were unscrupulous and acquisitive, but they did not reach the level and power necessary to be the Bush Administration. The Borg. As we will see this year, this is no laughing matter.

12. Romulans, hands down.
Emotional, nationalistic, xenophobic, warmongering aholes who would rather shoot than talk.

The Cardassians are a close second, but DS9 showed us that most Cardies played along because they were stuck in a 1984ish hellhole and had little choice but to comply. The Romulan people, on the other hand, seemed to actually support their government (though we honestly saw little of them in any shows).

19. THere were a number of dissidents in the Romulan Government.
The Cardassians were generally more supportive of their government, and it was more 1984-esque. I would say the Bush cabal is closer to the Cardassians, especially Dukat than the Romulans. The Romulans had some honor, not much but some. Which is some more than shrubya.

So in summary, I will now say the Bush cabal is like the Cardassians with the greed of the Ferengi.

The Cardassians were colonialists too, to a greater degree than the Romulans.

20. Didn['t think about the colonialism
Got me there. The Cardies were really big on conquer, ensure submission, and enslave. The Romulans were simply xenophobic conquerors.

15. Klingons fought their own battles...
Most members of the Bush Administration assiduously avoided ever going to war themselves, preferring to send "lesser" people to do the fighting for them.   In this respect they seem a bit like the Founders who created the Jem'Hadar to fight their wars.

21. hmmm, an interesting mix...
the treachery and cold-bloodedness of romulans
the women hating and money loving of the ferengi
the 1984 style politics and the legal system of the cardassians
more cold-bloodedness and the conquering spirit of the borg

definetly not klingons... no honor
