I got the LoveSan, Blaster, or MSBlaster virus
What do I do now? I am no computer genius. I have windows XP for hoome.

and follow Mr. Perkel's very helpful suggestions.

Once you have gotten rid of the virus update your virus protection and your patches. Although the windows update site doesn't seem to be available.

www.norton.com

and follow the 3 steps on the left side of the home page.

You need to download and install the Windows Critical Update Patch to keep from getting it again. Go to microsoft.com and keep trying to get the patch.

After you have taken care of all of this, set your WINxp to do automatic updates:
start > control panel > system > automatic updates

Then you will know when there are updates, especially the critical ones.

I hope I can do some of these things before my computer shuts down. It stays up only for a few miniutes then I get the error message.
