Boy Pulls Knife On Dad After Dad Unplugged His Video Game
<snip>

HONG KONG (Reuters) - A 13-year-old Hong Kong boy flew into a rage and threatened his parents with a kitchen knife after his father pulled the plug on his computer game, police said on Monday.

"The boy's mother told police the boy was thrashing about with a knife. Nobody was charged," a police spokeswoman said.

The father managed to overpower the boy and no one was injured in the fracas early on Sunday morning, a local newspaper reported.

2. these stories are stupid
and trivialize very serious problems. The boy didn't fly into a rage because of the computer game; something else is going on. It's like those stories so-and-so committed suicide because (fill in trivial reason). That's not why they offed themselves, that's the LAST thing that happened.

6. I could totally see this happening
There are lot of really just odd kids out there. Especially in Japan where they're even more hyper and video-crazed than in America.

5. If I'd pulled a knife on my dad,
he'd have planted me in the back yard next to the tangerine tree.

My dad is a great guy, but even 29 years older than me, he can still whip my ass.

7. is your dad as big as you are?
You're a pretty big guy? I'd hate to see how large your daddy must be.

9. We're both about 5'8", but his arms are twice the size of mine.
We're probably close to the same weight, he's probably 20 lbs. heavier. If he ever caught me, I'd be dead. :D
