From an email forwarded to me:
As many of you know already, I'm working on my third book, it's called "Chasing Adonis: Gay Men & the Pursuit of Perfection." It's going to be a pretty wide-ranging book that'll talk about gay men's attitudes and opinions about what makes a physical ideal, whether we're too obsessed with looks -- whether they're our look or those of other guys -- opinions and attitudes about finding the perfect partner -- whether it's Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now -- as well as
a snapshot of current attitudes about how and why our tastes evolve, and a lot more...
As with my other books, I've got a fast poll, and a longer survey posted on line to give me a little insight into what you guys think, and why you think it; that poll and survey is posted on my web site at
http://www.timbergling.com, or it can be accessed directly through
http://www.chasingadonis.com. Here's the favor: If you haven't already taken the poll or survey, please do so as soon as you get the chance. (I'd ask you to please answer all the poll questions, and if the survey seems a little long, just answer the questions you find personally intriguing; even a handful of answers on each survey form would be helpful.) And the second part of the favor: copy this email and send it on to as many of your friends as you think might be interested, and ask them in turn to pass it on. If you have your own site or bulletin board where you occasionally post a note or two, please consider posting the URLs. It'll really help me get the word out, and make the book more deep and detailed.
