1. It's really good!
I am sad that none of you get to eat tonight. My thoughts are with you. :(

2. My dear johnnie!
Hey sweetie!

I was going to make a corned beef and all the trimmings...

But just about the time I had to have been starting it, I had to lie down and take a nap!

I was just too damned tired to do it...

And I still need to go to the store! So...we'll be eating a nice bordelaise marinated tri tip steak...

Plus assorted vegetables and so on...

I haven't gotten that far yet!

Your dinner sounds wonderful...Bon appetit!

:toast:

4. Man, I love corned beef
I just hate when I buy this huge chunk of meat and when it's done it shrinks down to half a sandwich. But your dinner sounds good as is!

26. Yep, homemade.
We use the Pizza dough recipe from the Breadmaker we own, and add Tomato sauce (which I season) Pepperoni, Sausage and copious amounts of Mozzarella Cheese, they're realllly good.

13. First time I made the mushrooms that way
They were friggin' great. I took the baby portabellas and sprinkled them with olive oil with garlic salt and pepper. Then just put bleu cheese in them and put them on the grill. Gonna be a staple here now.

I just started making my own pizzas about 6 months ago. I use my iron skillet and they turn out great. Is that yours up there? It looks good!

15. I dig
I buy the tub of bleu cheese and barley get to use it in dishes because I keep taking spoonfuls of it..lol.

Make your own crust? That's what I was worried about the most, and now I do it all the time. it's not that bad.

17. The crust I use
is the Artisan in Five Minutes a Day basic recipe tweaked as follows but instead of 6.5 cups of AP flour I use 4 cups bread flour, 1 cup white whole wheat and 1.5 cups semolina and add a little more water. Works great, and gets even better the older the dough gets.

18. Actually I bought these without the stalk
There were 6 shrooms in the pack and I used 3. But usually I take out the insides and use them in the stuffing.

19. Ahhh so it is the 4-6 inch caps?
Hehe.. I once got a notion to create a vegitarian hamburger-ish thing and used 6"+ caps as buns. Filled with a mix of stuff.

The bun idea was fail, but the taste... Gah! :9

25. Bagel, cream cheese, tomato, onion (Vidalia), and lox.
Now that I think about it, that would have been more appropriate as lunch.
