During WW2, allied pilots (mostly bomber crews) saw balls of lights following and circling their aircraft. They thought they were secret German or Japanese weapons, but it turns out that the Germans and Japanese saw them as well (and thought they were Allied weapons). They were dubbed FOO FIGHTERS

was from some kung foo movie...we call 'em the poo biters at my house. Not because we don't like them, but b/c we make up a stupid nickname for every band. I like them a lot, actually. Never got into Weezer, maybe for lack of trying.

14. God, I really dislike Weezer....

Their whole faux nerd shtick just really rubs me the wrong way. Especially the way they threw in the towel after they had one album that didn't sell well (Pinkerton), but then jumped back in the game when they thought they could cash in on all the emo bands name checking them.

Dave Grohl on the other hand has always been in the game and just clearly enjoys playing and writing as much music as he can.

Here's where Rivers Cuomo's heart is at. He's on the top row in the middle. What a tool.

Frankly, no one should listen to this type of "music," and I use that term loosely.

Go get some Bruce Springsteen...and enjoy someone who really can't sing either, but has a helluva backup band.
