What sealed the deal with your mate?
With me, it was when I realized that i could trust her when my back was turned.

The love came right after that.

1. He offered to pay for my divorce
That was damn unselfish. :-)

Actually, my ex-husband had taken my child and refused to return her! I had no money for legal fees, so my current husband, whom I'd just met, paid for the whole thing.

Then he put me on the plane, to go get my daughter, and he said, "I know you may not come back, and I'll understand, but I will always feel good about reuniting a mother and her child."

Needless to say, I came back! That sealed it for me, almost twenty years ago!

2. It was when he stood at the closet door
hanging up his cloths and he said "It's not that I want to, but if I did, would you marry me?

That was 1986, I knew right then we would get married, It didn't happen till 1990.

4. stand in line buddy
It was when he would call at the last minute and ask me to join him for a glamorous weekend. But he would call on Thursday night. Sorry; already had plans. Took him six months to figure out he had to book his weekends at least by Monday, if not before.

You always want what you can't get.
