What have you listened to today or yesterday?
Me:

Alison Krauss & Union Station - New Favorite (a winner, as always from them)
Thea Gilmore - Avalanche (great, underappreciated artist and CD!)

Samples from:

Melissa Auf Der Maur - Auf Der Maur (pretty metallic, but I like it so far. Has the kind of interesting dynamics found in Led Zeppelin and Metallica. Too bad it's an import and the price is so high.)

Vines - Winning Days (Highly Evolved was at least a little memorable with pretty ballads, despite being derivative and marred by mediocre vocals. Winning Days doesn't seem to even those good points.)

From full album listening party:

Clink Black - Spend My Time (a disappointment - after the title song, it's one bland and ill-conceived song after another. The roadhouse songs aren't exactly like "State Of Mind.")

Willie Nelson, Bobby Bare, Waylon Jennings, John Denver and Tammy Wynette.

4. Have you heard Bobby Bare, Jr.?
He's a little more of a rocker but he's good.

I didn't know that. I'm a big Hank 3 fan. Bobby Bare is one of my favorites when I am in a crap mood.

16. I like what you've listened to, MrsGrumpy
Maybe Tom Petty hasn't been able to produce of late the equal of Bruce's The Rising (which is an A CD IMO - not quite an A+,) but I still think Tom has it. :hi:
