Need help with an 80's tune
I have 16 seconds of it. It is for a friend doing a trivia game and he can't get it and I did not listen much to the radio during the 80's. If you know thanks.

1. "Leader of the Band" by Dan Fogelberg
I'm 99.9% certain, and yes that's my final answer.

2. Really?
That is a song I would know, probably one of the only ones but I sure didn't get that! Thanks I will tell him. That song always makes me cry.

5. You are used to the guitar opening of the single release
that got played on the radio. The cut you posted is misleading as it has a longer intro and the guitar doesn't take over until about the last three seconds. That's all I really had to work with, as I had never heard the piano intro to the song either, truth be told. BUT, I can say that the key signature, rhythm and structure of that guitar line matches "Leader of the Band" perfectly.

It sounds like this trivia game is full of curve balls and trick questions and I bet I'd love to play it! What is it, exactly?

and that is not the correct answer. Sorry.

I just retried it, you may be right on second thought. I will ask him to try it again.

I think you are right, I listened once more and it just must be an alternate version. He must not be used to that.
